With the final step, onto the center of the lake, the glow stopped completely.
"Tch." was the only word he said.
Yet, without a warning, the lake surface began to glow just like how it was with his steps, and it began to envelop the whole lake to as far as he could see.
He knew this was not a good sign, although no one had ever spoken about this lake within the Forest, but he stood his ground.
A sudden pull on his leg surprised him, and he attempted to break free of that pull. No matter how much force he used, it seemed as though the pull would be way stronger than his.
In a split second, he was pulled into the lake at alarming speed, and it didn't stop there. It just continued pulling him deeper... deeper...
He began to run out of breath. Gasping for air within the water would be the worst choice he would have done, since that would just cause him to drown. He held on until the very last second, staring up towards the surface which became quiet once more, as if nothing had ever happened...
He looked down, and saw pitch black. He knew that no one would have known any of this to happen, but he didn't want to disappear just like that.
Just then, a strong force went through his body. One that he never felt before. One that was so immense, it knocked him totally unconscious. As he got pulled deeper, on the surface, a mist was slowly forming, and his figure became less visible... less visible... until no figure could be seen anymore.
On the surface, the Lake just stayed quiet as ever, like no disturbance ever happened...
